Jonathan "HIV" Davis
Jonathan Houseman Davis was born in Bakersfeild California on january 18th, 1971. In the band he is vocals, and he also plays the bagpipes. he says "I went to high school, they had a pipe band, and i learned to play them there. Then i took private lessons. I used to compete in the games in California. it was a hobbie. then i got in this band and I wanted to play a song with them, and it worked out". Going to school was hard for him. He was teased alot, and stood apart from his peers by his different style of dress, and was often called gay. In the song "Reclaim my place"(follow the leader, 98)one part of the lyrics say "In the past I was known as a freak, had no friends picked on cause i was weak. Sang my ass off, got into this band, never though the band would become 'the man'". He also speaks well of his high school memories in "faget"(korn-1994). Jon suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and has nightmares to this day about his past in Bakerfeild. Jonathan has one child named Nathan Houseman Davis, who was born on October 18th, 1995. |
